Daniel Mondiello, DPT, CSCS, owner of All Island Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Care, is a New York State licensed doctor of physical therapy. Daniel’s path to physical therapy came about in high school when a family member had a serious illness that, at one point, required physical therapy. The positive experience that physical therapy had was overwhelming to him and his family. This was the experience that shifted Daniel’s focus and his goals towards becoming a physical therapist. After graduating from Sacred Heart University with a degree in Biology he chose to finish graduate school back home at New York Institute of Technology.
Daniel worked in an outpatient setting for 10 years in which he excelled with manual therapy and dynamic functional training. Daniel has an unrelenting work ethic and determination to make a patient feel better while always focusing on the patient’s goals. He specializes in correcting soft tissue injuries/restrictions, postural alignment, and muscular imbalances by utilizing techniques such as myofascial release, static/dynamic stretching techniques, mobilizations/manipulations, therapeutic exercises, muscle energy techniques, and functionally based home exercise programs.
Daniel is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. This, plus his experience with sports rehabilitation gives him an advantage in developing proper specific treatment protocols towards athletes ranging from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete.
Daniel is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and they are essential in promoting the field of physical therapy, which is constantly challenging itself to improve. He consistently takes continuing education courses to stay informed about topics in orthopedics and trained in more advanced manual therapy treatments. Daniel enjoys his spare time with his wife and two children. He still enjoys being competitive in sports, training at the gym, gardening in his yard, and a relaxing day of fishing.
